For this reason it is mandatory to transpose it without modification; however, each country can decide how to transpose. Are social directive: the General Directive 89\/391 \/ EEC, concerning the implementation of measures aimed at the improvement of safety and health of workers and the particular Directive related to it 2009\/104 \/ EC on the use of work equipment. Other social directives of interest are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>2019\/1832\/UE \u201cPersonal protective equipment\u201d<\/li>\n<li>90\/269 CEE \u201cManual handling of loads\u201d<\/li>\n<li>90\/270 CEE \u201cVDT equipment\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In Italy they have been transposed with the Legislative Decree 81\/08 &#8220;Testo Unico Sicurezza&#8221;.<\/p>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\n\t\n\n\t<div id=\"col-551575555\" class=\"col small-12 large-12\"  >\n\t\t<div class=\"col-inner text-left\"  >\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\n\n<div class=\"row row-large\"  id=\"row-477115549\">\n\n\n\t<div id=\"col-1509472416\" class=\"col medium-6 small-12 large-6\"  >\n\t\t<div class=\"col-inner text-left\"  >\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\n\n\t<div id=\"text-1663644066\" class=\"text cutom-ul\">\n\t\t\n\n<h2>Product directive<\/h2>\n<p>Product Directives establish:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The Essential Safety Requirements of products in order to circulate freely on the European market<\/li>\n<li>Attestation conformity criteria<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The fundamental directives for safety work equipment are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>2006\/42\/EC \u201cMachinery directive\u201d<\/li>\n<li>2014\/35\/EU \u201cLow Voltage Directive\u201d<\/li>\n<li>2014\/34\/EU \u201cElectromagnetic Compatibility Directive\u201d<\/li>\n<li>2014\/34\/EU \u201cATEX directive\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\n<h3>Machinery directive<\/h3>\n<p>The \u201cMachinery Directive\u201d 2006\/42\/EC is meant for the manufacturers of machines and safety components, and has the following goals:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The definition of safety and health protection requirements for the improvement of the degree of protection offered to the operators of hazardous machinery<\/li>\n<li>The design, manufacture and marketing in the European Union of machines and components complying with the minimum safety requirements laid down by the Directive itself<\/li>\n<li>The free circulation in the Member States of machines and safety components complying with the Directive<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The Machinery Directive:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Applies to all new machines and safety components that are sold, lent or hired, and to used machinery in case they are sold, rent or lent.<\/li>\n<li>It sets forth the essential safety requirements relating to the design and manufacturing of machines and safety components and it defines the respective certification procedures.<\/li>\n<li>It is mandatory for machines and for safety components.<\/li>\n<li>Only products conforming to the Directive can be marketed or commissioned in the European Union<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Certification procedures<\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"color: #555555; font-size: 14.4px;\">The Machinery Directive:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Lays down stringent procedures for safety components and highly hazardous machines which are listed in Annex 4<\/li>\n<li>Lays down simplified procedures for low and medium risk machines not included in annex 4<\/li>\n<li>Requires that manufacturers prepare a technical dossier for each product stating the safety principles adopted in the design, manufacture, transport, use and maintenance of the machine or the safety component<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Declaration of conformity<\/h3>\n<p>In order to certify the conformity of a product to the Directive, the manufacturer must:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Affix the CE mark to the product<\/li>\n<li>Attach the CE declaration of conformity attesting compliance to the Directive<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Certifications<\/h3>\n<p>The CE type certificates is valid for 5 years (Annex IX para. 9.3), the five-year period starting from the revision date of the certificate. After which a new verification will be required to maintain the certification.<\/p>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\n\t\n\n\t<div id=\"col-1311336559\" class=\"col medium-6 small-12 large-6\"  >\n\t\t<div class=\"col-inner text-left\"  >\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\n\n<h2>Low voltage directive<\/h2>\n<p>2014\/35\/EU is aimed at ensuring that electrical materials are designed and manufactured so as to guarantee the protection of people against any risks of electrocution resulting from their use or from the influence of external agents on the electrical materials themselves.<br \/>This Directive applies to all electrical materials meant for use at a nominal voltage of between:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>50V and 1000V for alternating current<\/li>\n<li>75V and 1500V for direct current<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Electromagnetic compatibility directive<\/h3>\n<p>The aim of \u201cElectromagnetic Compatibility Directive\u201d 2014\/30\/EU is to ensure that electrical devices are designed and manufactured so that:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Electromagnetic emissions are limited and low enough to permit other electrical devices to operate according to their intended purpose<\/li>\n<li>The level of built-in immunity to external disturbances enables them to operate according to their intended <br \/>purpose<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This Directive applies to all electrical and electronic devices able to cause electromagnetic disturbances and whose operation can be affected by external factors.<\/p>\n<h3>ATEX directive<\/h3>\n<p>The ATEX Directive 2014\/34\/EU applies to all equipment intended for use in potentially explosive.
